Cabalgata de Reyes (Twelfth Night cavalcade)

Route: Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz to Plaza de Cibeles, via Paseo de la Castellana and Paseo de Recoletos

Over two thousand years ago, three wise men set out on a long journey to find and worship the baby Jesus in Bethlehem. Their way, as told in the Gospel of Matthew, was guided by the Star of Bethlehem and inspired by the desire for a new beginning and a renewed hope of salvation.

Every year, the recreation of that journey is the highlight of the Christmas season in the capital city and all across Spain, a moment of wonder, hope and excitement for children and adults alike. A wish for gifts and games and toys, of course, but also a time for sharing and dreams of better things and transformation.

In 2025, the Twelfth Night cavalcade in Madrid is the night of wishes come true when the city joyfully welcomes the Three Kings and their entourage with some of the best street entertainment in the world: angels that fly and even skate, giant frogs, sensational sea animals, adventurers of the sky, African toys and many other incredible surprises.
