CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH-ON

On Saturday 25 November, we invite you to come to Plaza de Chamberí to welcome Christmas with us with a light and music show that starts at 7pm and will help us celebrate the arrival of this special holiday season.
A group of Christmas elves and other activities will liven things up starting from 6pm, keeping the little ones entertained as they wait for Christmas to begin in the district.
The light and sound display will be held every day from 25 November to 7 January at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.
CHRISTMAS PARADE

23 December, 6pm
Come welcome Christmas with us! Parading before us along this stretch of the street we’ll see all sorts of Christmas characters on foot and on stilts, firework displays with little silver stars and lights, and more.
We’ll also be able to get close to an array of Christmas characters who will bring music and colour to the street with balls, juggling and confetti all over the place.
In addition, there will be a tent with a thousand balloons on sticks which we will give out to all of the children who come to see us.

VISIT FROM THE THREE KINGS AND ROYAL PAGES
On 2, 3 and 4 January, the royal pages will visit the six neighbourhoods in the district of Chamberí so that children can deliver their letters to them, knowing that the pages will make sure they get to Their Royal Highnesses the Three Kings.
The Chamberí Municipal Council will also send letters to all of the district’s schools for each student from Year 3 of nursery to Year 2 of primary school. The letters will be addressed to the Three Kings and the kids can complete them at home with their parents before putting them into the Correos post box closest to them.

KIDS’ CHRISTMAS CAMP
The camp will be held from 8am to 2pm on 26, 27, 28 and 29 December as well as on 2 January. The final play will be performed on Tuesday 2 January, from 1pm to 2pm (during camp hours).

Over the Christmas season, we want to show kids how to fill their homes with Christmas, making it a time of joyous, happy moments. Storytelling (in Spanish) will be accompanied by pictograms to make the event accessible to children with language difficulties.

Jesús de la Torre. Magic
27 December, 6pm
Magician Jesús De la Torre gets a surprise in the middle of the show when he receives a letter from the world’s most magical beings: the Three Kings. The letter contains unexpected news: he has been chosen to be one of their royal pages! First, however, he must prove he is up to the task by passing some magic tests the kings have set him.
Cuentitis Naviditi
29 December, 6pm
In this singing/storytelling concert for the whole family, Cuentitis Musiquitis will sing both traditional and new Christmas songs in a fun, zany show full of Christmas magic. We’ll wait for Santa Claus and the Three Kings to arrive and we’ll even demonstrate how to eat twelve grapes in time to the last twelve clock chimes of the year!
Dani O´Magic. Magic
2 January, 6pm
Dani O'Magic and his band of amiable elves will open up their home to spread Christmas cheer to all children. In this magic show, Dani will turn us into magic elves for an hour as we watch Christmas characters like the Grinch, Scrooge and an impersonator of Santa Claus himself in a magical comedy show for the whole family.
Operación Navidad
4 January, 6pm
The Three Kings have asked Juanito, a friendly country dweller, to look after the Christmas presents while they travel to the East to get more. But an evil elf and his minions decide to steal the presents and ruin Christmas, a holiday that fills children with hope and excitement. Time is running out!
The Three Kings are about to arrive and the presents are still nowhere to be found. Juanito must race to get them back and make sure all the children will be able to receive their gifts on time.
CHRISTMAS WORKSHOPS
Crafts with Christmas Motifs
3 January, from 11am to 1pm
Crafting workshop focusing on Christmas motifs. In this children's workshop, the kids will be able to unleash their creativity and develop their artistic abilities using fine motor skills to create Christmas decorations and motifs that can be used to welcome Their Majesties the Three Kings.
Christmas Garlands
4 January, from 11am to 1pm
The big day is almost here! The Three Kings will be visiting us and we want to decorate our houses in a way that befits their royal status, so we’ll learn to make different decorative garlands to make sure our homes look amazing when they bring us the presents we’ve been waiting for.
Three Kings Lanterns
5 January, from 11am to 1pm
We’ll make lanterns with Christmas motifs for the Three Kings. Each child will be able to choose the design they like best and personalise it to make a lantern that will guide their favourite king to their home so he doesn't get lost while delivering the much-awaited presents.
