Artistic creation workshops

The Advent calendar tradition dates back to the 19th century in Germany, when Protestant families started the custom of hanging photographs on the wall or marking chalk lines on the door, which children would erase, one each day, until Christmas. Following this tradition, in this workshop, children can create their own advent calendar using natural and durable materials, such as wood, felt and wool. During the activity, the workshop leaders will tell stories about the origin and meaning of this charming custom, encouraging the children to harness their creativity to design and decorate the calendar at their own pace.
