Mr. Bo

Three servants spend their entire lives in the service of Mr Bo. They’re so used to obeying his orders that they’ve forgotten that they ever had the chance to say ‘that’s enough’. They could do it when Bo was a child, but now he’s a grumpy adult. The three play at imagining what the world would be like if they were the masters of the house.

What parent doesn’t think at some point that they’ve raised a little dictator? How do we behave when we come face to face with tyranny? Is it possible to change who we are? Marie de Jongh Teatroa - a Basque company that combines mime, masks and clowning – presents its new creation, Mr Bo, a comedy without words for the whole family that uses humour and gesture to explore the reasons behind despotic power and how to confront it.
